I have bought a fair amount of hardware off ebay, and have typically been quite happy with it, but it stays off most of the time, so energy isn’t the concern (ipmi for the win). If you’re disposing of them in a public-facing manner (ebay or similar), it’d be cool to pick up an old nfsn machine.
